Sport in Pictures Child Protection Policy.


  • 1. The main purpose of this document is to ensure the safety,welfare and protection of children and vulnerable adults. We will NEVER act in any way that compromises this principle.

    2. Sport in Pictures recognises that all children, whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin religious beliefs and/or sexual identity have the right to protection from abuse.

    3. Sport in Pictures has a duty of care to all children and vulnerable adults participating in any event that we attend. ALL photographers used by us will fully adhere to this policy, which has been fully adopted by Sport in Pictures.

    4. For any event involving children and/or vulnerable adults, Sport in Pictures will only attend at the invitation of the organisers/teams involved.

    5. Any Photographer working in an official capacity for Sport in Pictures must not have un-supervised access to any child or vulnerable adult.

    6. All of the photographers used by Sport in Pictures will have a CRB check carried out by the appropriate authority, where required by that authority.

    7. All photos stored by Sport in Pictures will not be made available for download in any form, whether legally or otherwise, from any source. We will also ensure that our web site does not allow any downloads and that the server(s) contain the latest security patches.

    8. ALL photos of children or vulnerable adults on our web site will be contained within a password protected gallery and not visable to the general public. If any photos inside a password protected gallery are deemed unsuitable, for any reason, then they will be removed from that gallery and deleted from our off-line storage upon notification.

    9. All participants taking part in any event that Sport in Pictures attends will wear appropriate dress for the sport in which they are involved.

    10. Sport in Pictures will not hold or publish any personal information on any child or vulnarable adult that may lead to their identification.

    11. We will always report any incidence of child abuse that we witness to the appropriate authority and if any are reported to us we will investigate promptly.
